Abortion can affect women and men in different ways. Some feel relief. Others feel sadness, anger, regret, or confusion. Some don’t feel much at first, and then emotions surface later.

There is no single “normal” response.

If something still feels unsettled for you, that matters.

You Don’t Have to Sort It Out Alone

Many women never talk about their abortion experience. You may have kept it private. You may feel unsure who would understand. You may not even know exactly what you’re feeling.

At Pregnancy Resources Plus, we offer no-cost, confidential support in a calm, respectful setting. Our team is here to listen without judgment or assumptions.

You do not need to explain everything perfectly. You just need a place to begin.

When to Consider Reaching Out

You might consider speaking with an advocate if you’ve noticed:

  • Ongoing sadness or emotional heaviness
  • Anxiety or irritability
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Relationship strain
  • Feeling disconnected or “stuck”
  • Strong reactions around certain memories or dates

You do not have to be in crisis to schedule an appointment. If you feel the need to talk, that is reason enough.

What Support Can Look Like

Post-abortive care at Pregnancy Resources Plus begins with a confidential conversation. You can meet with an advocate to share as much, or as little, as you’re comfortable with.

If additional care would be helpful, our team can also provide referrals to trusted community resources.

We aim to meet women where they are, without pressure and without an agenda.

No Timeline. No Pressure.

Some women reach out soon after an abortion. Others reach out years later. Both are common.

You are welcome here whenever you decide to come in.
